Locally, the COVID-19 measures put in place by each destination vary significantly and this variation appears to be growing as a result of vaccination access/rates. This is particularly the case with major destinations, especially those that are further afield.

Tuesday 13th July – VARIOUS – Transport capacity is still generally running at a reduced level and therefore the air cargo surcharges that have become commonplace continue to apply. These measures, which include lockdowns, state border closures, restrictions on movement, self-isolation and limitations on air and other transport services, have been substantially affecting the processing and delivery of inbound and outbound mail items since the end of June. Monday 26th July – AUSTRALIA – We have been informed that the daily operations of Australia Post are being affected by government measures aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19. Our suppliers have advised that they are currently seeing delays of approximately 7-14 working days on postal items. Therefore, estimated times for all services will vary and delays could be experienced.įriday 20th August – NEW ZEALAND – We have been informed that due to the current COVID-19 situation and restrictions New Zealand, there is now significantly reduced capacity with airlines for New Zealand. Additionally, the ability of some carriers to honest has been recently impeded by a shortage of drivers. Some countries, such as New Zealand and Australia, have been seeing reduced transport capacity as a result of COVID-19 measures whilst others add additional capacity as they open back up.
